2017 TO ME (COLE EDITION)
So 2017 is finally over ... THANK FUCK! What a shit year all round! I don't think anyone had a pretty amazing year... at least thats what I'm seeing on social media.
It's odd though, because as shit a year as it's been... this has probs been my most successful year in terms of change.
Since it's new years in like 2 hours I am just gunna keep this quick and show you my year in pictures.
I started off the year 100% focused on being a cinematographer. As not much else was happening in life and I was living at home so I just filmed to keep me busy.
I would film anything asked, I done a few music videos, a couple weddings and a few more interesting projects. I decided to set up my own business and website.
While focused on this I met up with April and she helped me with a music video. At this point in life we were both trying to escape our negative situations and change our circumstances.
While working for myself I worked 30 hours a week in a small cafe where I found a passion for coffee.
April and I started spending more time together and became "friends"
About half way through the year now and my desire to be a cinematographer and work for myself was still strong, but I'd realised I had other passions in life above and beyond this.
April and I had moved in together and started dating properly.
I got to spend a lot of time with my family this year (more than normal) due to events like birthdays and weddings ect. It was lovely.
April and I started OurVibes. Though originally it was going to be an advice blog it has now grown above and beyond that.
Although I wanted to get back into parkour in 2017, it never really happened due to having few friends to train with and also going on other adventures.. I plan to massively change that in 2018
April and I went to my brothers wedding. It was awesome! Such a good night. We looked FABBY!
I also learned in 2017 who my true friends are. People whom I thought were amazing people turned out to be total douchbags... and vice versa, as the folk I didn't think I'd become friends with I now see as some of my closest!
Nearing the end of 2017 now. April and I decided it was time to pack up our shit and start a new life somewhere else. To do that we had to sell all of our stuff and quit our jobs!
April and I decided "Fuck it" and got matching tattoos... It's fine.. Imma wife this chick some day.
End of the year now. We done it. We cleared £3k worth of debt, sold all our possessions, quit our jobs and went travelling through Europe backpacking. We even met one of my fave celebrities!
I got to see the Eiffel tower. It's class!
That's it. 2017 is over. It has been so tough. Saying goodbye to people, saying hello to new people, being open to what life throws at me, and just accepting whatever happens.
To start the year in such a negative place with no prospects, I can't believe it has ended with such a change! From living at home working in a dead-end job. To moving Country after being travelling and to have a world of possibilities open up in front of me!
I am so lucky. I don't actually understand how life has ended up like this. I am so incredibly grateful for everyone and everything. I am no word-smith so I cant really describe my gratitude with text. Just know I am, and I'm thankful each and every day.
2018 will be an even bigger year of change. I have plans, goals and aspirations that I will work endlessly to make a reality.
To everyone who made 2017 my biggest year of change, thank you. Despite being a shit year for earth. It's been needed and is the catalyst for whats to come! LETS FUCKING DO THIS!
See Y'all Next Year!
