#Thursdaythoughts Childish Positivity
Hey ya'll! April here with a new idea for you... I decided to try a new thing called Thursday thoughts, a super duper short blog post just give you my thought for the day. (Yes I saw the hashtag on Twitter and I'm currently sat contemplating so I thought why not ;) ) While I sit at my place of work mentally preparing myself for this evening shift I'm listening to the soundtrack for, 'The Greatest Showman'. I went to see this film last night and fell in love!
Usually I'm the worst for finding problems with films (don't even get me started on the new Star Wars film!) but with all the qualms I had with this film I loved every second of it. I think there's something really comforting about films like this where it's overly cheesy and all problems are solved with a song.
I found that I left the cinema feeling as if someone had given me the biggest cup of 'everything works out eventually' and wrapped me up in a blanket of 'don't worry about a thing'.
Yes it's unrealistic and a bit cringey in places but there's something about watching a film like that as an adult with hundreds of tiny problems that can really help you organise your thoughts.
I feel so happy today with the almost childish positivity that I could conquer the whole world if I wanted to and it's all thanks to an unrealistic film.
So my thought for whoever reads this today is this;
no matter what's going on in your life try looking at it as if you're part of a cheesy film. Perhaps you're in the middle of singing the sad number or you're about to start the love song. No matter where you are in your film, just remember they always end with a showstopper where everything works out; and it's only a matter of time before you reach yours.
p.s Who else has seen this film and are you obsessed with it as I am?? also do you like the idea of Thursday thoughts or no? Comment down below, don't be shy! :D
